Our Evangelist will be Phil Strunk

​

Phillip W. Strunk has dedicated his life to the ministry of our Lord’s Church since January 12, 1986. A native of Howard, Pennsylvania, Phil’s calling took root during his studies at Lock Haven University and later at Eastern Christian College, where he earned his B.A. in Biblical Studies. He furthered his commitment to scholarship by obtaining a Master of Sacred Literature from Summit Theological Seminary.

Phil’s ministry has come full circle; after serving as a youth minister in New Jersey and lead minister in West Virginia, he spent 24 impactful years with Bux-Mont Christian Church (1991–2015). After a season of revitalization work and an interim and five year preaching ministry in Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Phil felt the call to return home to Bux-Mont, June 1st, 2023, where he continues to lead with a heart for God’s people and the community today.

Married to his wife, Lesa, since 1987, Phil is a devoted father of three children and five grandchildren. His life’s mission remains simple and steadfast: "To glorify God with the gifts he has been given through the local church.”
